The NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma in Counselling qualification is designed for learners interested in developing their counselling skills for use in a variety of sectors or towards accredited counsellor status with professional bodies. It provides comprehensive knowledge of counselling skills, theoretical approaches, ethical practices, diversity considerations, and personal development.

There are no prerequisites to study this course, but learners must be aged 16 or over.
You will be assessed through a series of written and recorded assessments.
Successfully completing the NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma in Counselling qualification supports progression to further study at higher levels, such as Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance, or Foundation Degrees in Counselling.
While this qualification does not qualify you to practice as a counsellor, it can support progression within employment in roles such as support worker (supported living), healthcare support service worker, clinical healthcare support worker, mental health support worker, information, advice and guidance worker, or health education/health promotion worker.
