This qualification prepares individuals for health and safety positions in various sectors, equipping them with real-world knowledge and skills demanded by employers. Successful completion allows eligibility for Associate (AIOSH) / Technical (Tech IOSH) membership.

Module Structure

In order to earn Level 3 Technical Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, learners must complete 3 mandatory units:

  • Health and Safety Principles in the Working Environment – Level 3, 10 credits
  • Maintaining a Healthy and Safe Working Environment – Level 3, 14 credits
  • Principles of Risk and Incident Management in the Working Environment – Level 3, 10 credits

Progression

Learners achieving this qualification can progress towards OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or start employment directly.

Assessment

Assessment is conducted via assignment submission; there are no exams.
